RANCANGAN PENGAJARAN HARIAN (BIOLOGI MITOSIS)
Assalamualaikum wbt. Ustajah kembali beraksi!

Induction set
|
Teacher
ask the students to recall the previous
class.
Teacher
ask few questions to the students:
1.
What did you understand about mitosis?
2.
Why it is necessary for cell to divide?
3.
Why mitosis is very important for multicellular
organisms?
Teacher
play an animation video on phases of mitosis and ask students a few
questions:
1.
How many phases in mitosis?
2.
Have you heard all of the phases before?
3.
How was the arrangement of chromosomes in every
phase?
|
Students
recall the previous class with teacher.
Students
answer teachers’ questions:

EXPAND PHASE
|
|||
Activity 1:
Cell cycle
|
1.
Teacher explain about cell cycle.
Cell cycle is a
cycle of events experienced by one cell starting from cell formation to
completion of cell division.
2.
The purposes of mitosis are:
i.
Growth
ii.
Asexual reproduction
Teacher gives an
example that wound in the hand will heal in few days because the mitotic has
taken place.
Another example
is lizard’s tail will grow back even after being cut with something.
3.
Cell cycle consist of two main phases:
a)
Interphase (divided into three subphase; G1, S, G2)
b)
Cell division or M phase (divided into two parts;
mitosis & cytokinesis)
4. Teacher introduce mnemonic to make them easy to
remember the phases in cell cycle which is InProMATeC
Interphase,
Prophase,
Metaphase,
Anaphase,
Telophase,
Cytokinesis.
Teacher asks the
students to label and colour every phase in The Cell Cycle Colouring
Worksheet correctly.
|
Students
hear teachers’ explanation carefully.
Students
label and colour every phase in The Cell Cycle Colouring Worksheet correctly.
|
15 minutes
|
Activity 2:
Interphase & M Phase
|
1.
Teacher ask students to form 4 groups.
Every groups
will be asked to draw phases in mitosis cell cycle using paper plate and
colourful marker pen.
The drawing
should be included Interphase and M phase as shown in the textbook.
2.
During drawing session, teacher will monitor the
student’s activity and answer some questions from the students.
3.
Teacher will ask students to present their work
result in front of the class.
Teacher will
identify misconceptions (if any) and correct them right after their presentation.
|
1.
Students will be divided into 4 groups.
Representative
of the group will be asked to take the marker pen and paper plate from the
teacher.
Students will
draw the phases of cell cycle by referring the picture in the textbook and
reference book.
2.
Students will be monitored by the teacher during
drawing session and some questions will come up from them regarding the cell
cycle.
Example:
-
What is this teacher?
-
Why it is happened?
-
How it is happened?
3.
Students will present their work result in front of
the class on what they have understand from their findings.
Students will
feel more confident when present their own work using materials given.
4.
Students will be evaluated during presentation
session based on their understanding of the concept of mitosis.

Closing
|
1.
Teacher will ask students to recall on what they
have learned today by asking some questions:
a)
What are the main phases in cell cycle?
b)
How many phases in mitosis?
c)
Is interphase one of the phases in mitosis?
d)
How was the form of chromosomes in every phase?
2.
Teacher give individual task for the students to
develop mitosis infographic.
|
1.
Students will recall on what they have learned today
by answering questions from teacher.
Students’ answer
should be as follows:
a)
2 main phases; interphase & M phase
b)
4 phases in mitosis; Prophase, Metaphase, Anaphase
& Telophase
c)
No, it is one of the main phases in cell cycle
d)
Students’ answer
2.
Students will be asked to develop mitosis
infographic and have to submit the task on the specified date.
